These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of reclaimranger.com (the "Site") and any services provided by Reclaim Ranger ("Reclaim Ranger," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About Our Service

Reclaim Ranger is an independent professional asset locator. We are registered as an asset locator/investigator with the California State Controller's Office (SCO) and licensed by the City of Rancho Mirage (Business License #26402861), and we help individuals, families, heirs, estates, and businesses recover unclaimed property held by the SCO. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. While we are registered with the SCO to perform this work, Reclaim Ranger is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an agent of the California State Controller's Office or any government agency.

You Can Always File on Your Own

Unclaimed property can be searched and claimed for free directly from the State of California at claimit.ca.gov. You are never required to use a recovery service. Our value is handling the research, documentation, and filing process on your behalf.

Fees and the Contingency Model

When you engage Reclaim Ranger under a written agreement, we work on a contingency basis: you pay nothing upfront, and our fee is owed only if we successfully recover funds for you. Our fee is 10% of the amount we recover for you, which is the maximum permitted and is capped and governed by California law, including California Civil Code § 2080.135. The specific fee and terms are set out in the written recovery agreement you sign before any claim is filed.

No Guarantee of Outcome

We cannot and do not guarantee that any particular claim will be approved, or the amount or timing of any recovery. Claims are reviewed and paid by the SCO at its discretion and on its own timeline. Information on the Site is general and may not reflect your specific situation.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information and documentation.
• Confirm you are the rightful owner, heir, or authorized representative of any property you ask us to pursue.
• Not use the Site for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent claims.

Intellectual Property

The content, design, logos, and materials on the Site are owned by Reclaim Ranger and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our written permission.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reclaim Ranger and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in connection with that matter.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
